Instrumentation Journeyman Mechanic / Technologist
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be a Journeyman Instrumentation Mechanic or Instrumentation Technologist with relevant industrial, commercial experience. This person must have a continual focus on safety, cost control and client satisfaction when performing the duties of this position, as well as have a history of producing quality work with attention to detail in order to meet and exceed client needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Installations of Instrumentation equipment for all types of industry applications
- Troubleshoot Instrumentation equipment for all types of industry applications
- Ensure work is carried out with proper safe work practices
- Work with Supervisor to resolve issues with instrument installations
- Interpret and work from P&ID’s, electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Journeyman Instrumentation Mechanic or Instrumentation Technician, Red Seal Qualification is preferred
- Experience working in a construction or industrial environment is preferred
- Ability to read P&ID’s, electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
- Familiarity with various automation programs and HMI’s. (Floboss, ROC’s, SCADAPak’s etc..)
- Microsoft 365 / Office skills required
- Diligent with Safety requirements and programs
- Experience with QAQC paperwork and material management preferred
- Exceptional communication skills

- Must have a flexible work schedule – shift work, overtime and weekends and schedule changes are routine and required aspects of the position

- Must be able to work at heights and handle 35lb load minimum
